Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating a Linkup account or using any part of the Linkup app or website (“Linkup,” “we,” “us”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree to them, please don't use Linkup.

We may update these terms from time to time — see Section 11 for how we'll let you know.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Linkup account. By signing up, you confirm that:

• You are 18 or older, and legally able to enter into these terms in your country of residence.
• You haven't been previously banned from Linkup for violating our rules.
• You're not required to register as a sex offender in any jurisdiction.
• All information you provide during sign-up is accurate and belongs to you.

3. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login details private and for anything that happens under your account. If you think someone else has access to your account, let us know right away so we can help secure it.

One person, one account. Creating multiple accounts, or an account on someone else's behalf without their consent, isn't allowed.

4. Subscription & payments

Creating a profile and browsing people nearby on Linkup is free. Sending and accepting connection requests, and unlocking private chat, requires a Connecting membership at ₦1,000 per month.

• Your membership gives you access for a full month from the date of payment.
• Membership does notauto-renew — we'll send you a reminder before it ends, and you choose whether to renew.
• Payments are processed through our third-party payment provider; Linkup does not store your card details.
• Fees are generally non-refundable once a membership period has started, except where required by law.

5. Community conduct

Linkup only works if people feel safe using it. When you use Linkup, you agree to follow our community rules, which cover things like harassment, impersonation, scams, and hate speech. Breaking those rules can result in a warning, suspension, or permanent removal from Linkup, at our discretion, without a refund of any active membership.

6. Meeting people & safety

Linkup helps you find and connect with people nearby, but we don't run background checks on users and can't guarantee the identity, intentions, or conduct of anyone you meet through the app. You're responsible for your own safety and judgment — online and if you choose to meet someone in person.

We strongly recommend meeting new connections in public places, telling a friend where you're going, and using Linkup's block and report tools any time something feels off.

7. Content you share

You keep ownership of the photos, messages, and other content you post on Linkup. By posting it, you give Linkup a license to display and distribute that content within the app, only for the purpose of operating and improving the service. Don't post content that isn't yours to share, or that violates someone else's rights.

8. Suspension & termination

You can delete your account at any time from your settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or our community rules, or that we reasonably believe put other users at risk.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

Linkup is provided “as is.” We work hard to keep the app reliable and profiles genuine, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service or the accuracy of what users post about themselves. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Linkup is not liable for damages arising from your interactions with other users, on or off the app.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from your use of Linkup will be subject to the jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Linkup grows. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Linkup after a change means you accept the updated terms.
